The first event led to wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Let’s hope the second doesn’t lead to much bigger ones in Korea and Iran.

Infidel… as I watch Ken Burns’ Vietnam, I can’t help but think of North Korea Redux… it doesn’t look promising.
At one point, we had a top secret memo saying 70% of the reason we were escalating in Vietnam was to avoid the appearance of, and embarrassment of losing.
Or, so we’d look strong and great.
That we would’ve done that in the 60’s should scare people…

Events seem to spin ever faster and uglier. IMO, perhaps the Bannonites
in the process of ‘Empty the Swamp’, have uncovered a hazardous waste landfill of stupidity enhanced by arrogance. If logic prevails, we consider
Jeff Flake as the next GOP president, running on simple competence and
decency. Well, I can dream…..

thanks to the president who lost the popular vote, political incorrectness is the new ‘freedom’ of his peculiar base..and thanks to Twitter/Facebook uber
communication the vermin slither out from the damp shadows. Ignorance and arrogance are accepted as the new normal: the world shakes its head, waits and hopes.
