Closing out the decade of the 1960’s was one of the top billboard hit of 1969, In The Year 2525 by Zager and Evens. As we observe events 49 years later this tune’s message reverberates as much today as it did at the close of the sixties.

I will say that the 60s music is quite tame compared to the gang banging garbage polluting the brains of today’s youth. This is definitely a classic song. I was a bit too young for radio back then, but in the 70s, I did hear that song on the radio from time to time. I remember this song, Blood Sweat And Tears “Spinning Wheel”, CCR “Down On The Corner” and Norman Greenbaum “Spirit In The Sky” from the late 60s to early 70s era. Great music for sure. I’m glad you’re exposing your grandkids to this. This is one thing we do agree on.
