Fake News Is Troubling The Nation……

So, a new poll out finds that Americans believe fake news is a bigger problem than other critical issues, including terrorism. Apparently Americans are concerned that it is undermining trust in government and the media. A concern which is as valid as val;id can be and then some.

The first step to start rectifying this problem, one that is undermining the foundations of our democratic republic, is to insure that Donald J. Trump is voted out of office in November 2020. Preferably by a landslide margin.

It is certainly no secret to anyone paying attention that Trump is fact challenged individual. One that finds it perfectly fine to outright lie whenever it serves his purpose. Trump’s narcissism is not only of legendary proportions it is what drives his motivation for lying.

If the nation really wants to begin restoring faith in government (and the media) it first must start by throwing the Narcissist in Chief’s arse out of office in November. A fish rots from the head remember.

Excerpt from the referenced poll follows.

Americans view made-up news and information as a bigger problem than other critical issues, including terrorism, immigration, climate change and racism, according to a new survey from Pew Research Center.

Why it matters: The survey finds that Americans feel more worried today about fake news because it’s undermining their trust in key institutions, like government and the media.

The only issues that rank higher than made-up news and information as “very big problems in the country today” are drug addiction, the affordability of health care, the U.S. political system, and the income gap.

By the numbers: An overwhelming majority of Americans (68%) believe made-up news and information has a big impact on their trust in government, according to the survey

  • More than half (54%) of Americans say it impacts their confidence in other Americans.
  • More than half (51%) say it impacts the ability of political leaders to get work done.

When a nation’s leader is as narcissistic,  as disingenuous, and as dishonest, as Trump is those behaviors filter into and effects every aspect of American life in one way or another. It’s simply the way it works.

Lets Save Our Democratic Republic……

Found the video below on Progressive Eruptions this morning. A two plus minute video of republicans that have worked in previous republican administrations. They all, after reading the Mueller report,  believe that there the Mueller report makes a powerful case  that Trump indeed obstructed justice.

We are posting the short article written by Progressive Eruptions as well.

Republicans for the Rule of Law

Here are several Republicans who love America more than a politician who is currently disgracing the Oval Office.

Listen to these men who’ve served under Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush. They are serious, patriotic Americans who have read the Mueller Report and clearly see that Donald J. Trump obstructed justice.

The American people need to listen to these Republicans and understand that if Trump gets away with his criminal behavior, we will be lost as a democracy.

It is time patriotic Americans of all political leanings to stand up and DEMAND that congress do its job!

James Comey On Trump, In His Own Words…..

Former FBI director James Comey is an honest man. We know this because he has a sterling record of honesty and integrity. We cannot say as much for Donald J. Trump.

In as much as Comey has a record of honesty and integrity Trump has no such record. History has painted Trump a very different picture. Trump’s record is one of gross dishonesty. Over 10,000 combined partial and total lies in just over two years is proof enough of Trump’s deceitful ways.

Following is a short excerpt from an article written by the honest James Comey abot the dishonest Trump. It is, to say the least, spot on.

It is tempting for normal people to ignore our president when he starts ranting about treason and corruption at the FBI. I understand the temptation. I’m the object of many of his rants, and even I try to ignore him.

But we shouldn’t, because millions of good people believe what a president of the United States says. In normal times, that’s healthy. But not now, when the president is a liar who doesn’t care what damage he does to vital institutions. We must call out his lies that the FBI was corrupt and committed treason, that we spied on the Trump campaign, and tried to defeat Donald Trump. We must constantly return to the stubborn facts.

Russia engaged in a massive effort to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. Near as I can tell, there is only one U.S. leader who still denies that fact. The FBI saw the attack starting in mid-June 2016, with the first dumping of stolen emails. In late July, when we were hard at work trying to understand the scope of the effort, we learned that one of Trump’s foreign policy advisers knew about the Russian effort seven weeks before we did.

In April 2016, that adviser talked to a Russian agent in London, learned that the Russians had obtained “dirt” on Hillary Clinton in the form of thousands of emails, and that the Russians could assist the Trump campaign through the anonymous release of information damaging to Clinton. Of course, nobody from the Trump campaign told us this (or about later Russian approaches); we had to learn it, months after the fact, from an allied ambassador.

But when we finally learned of it in late July, what should the FBI have done? Let it go? Go tell the Trump campaign? Tell the press? No. Investigate, to see what the facts were. We didn’t know what was true. Maybe there was nothing to it, or maybe Americans were actively conspiring with the Russians. To find out, the FBI would live up to its name and investigate.

As director, I was determined that the work would be done carefully, professionally and discreetly. We were just starting. If there was nothing to it, we didn’t want to smear Americans. If there was something to it, we didn’t want to let corrupt Americans know we were on to them. So, we kept it secret. That’s how the FBI approaches all counterintelligence cases.

And there’s the first problem with Trump’s whole “treason” narrative. If we were “deep state” Clinton loyalists bent on stopping him, why would we keep it secret? Why wouldn’t the much-maligned FBI supervisor Peter Strzok — the alleged kingpin of the “treasonous” plot to stop Trump — tell anyone? He was one of the very few people who knew what we were investigating.

We investigated. We didn’t gather information about the campaign’s strategy. We didn’t “spy” on anyone’s campaign. We investigated to see whether it was true that Americans associated with the campaign had taken the Russians up on any offer of help. By late October, the investigators thought they had probable cause to get a federal court order to conduct electronic surveillance of a former Trump campaign adviser named Carter Page…

Typical Trump……

WASHINGTON (AP) — Boastful on the occasion of Memorial Day, President Donald Trump and his Veterans Affairs secretary are claiming full credit for health care improvements that were underway before they took office.

Trump said he passed a private-sector health care program, Veterans Choice, after failed attempts by past presidents for the last “45 years.” That’s not true. The Choice program, which allows veterans to see doctors outside the government-run VA system at taxpayer expense, was first passed in 2014 under President Barack Obama.

After more than 10,000 partial or total lies spoken by DJT since becoming “president”, we all should be fully used to his basic dishonesty. It’s his stock in trade. The majority of Americans know that Trump is an individual that cannot be trusted. He is a pathological liar. A person who believes whatever he has floating around in his cranial cavity is true.

For Trump, whenever he is displeased with the truth, he simply fabricates a story line he believes will make him look good. It has worked well for him all his life and apparently continues to work for him in his political life. Forty plus percent of the voting public continue to support him. Over 90% of republicans think his dishonesty is just peachy.
