Trump’s Obvious Corruption In Full Bloom…

Of course the Trump administration is claiming the Whistle-blower story that hit the news ablaze yesterday is all politically motivated. Something being ginned up by democrats.

Here’s what we know so far…

Appearing last night on CNN, Rudy Giuliani created a furor by openly confessing that he had pressured Ukraine’s government to investigate Joe Biden. The apparent revelation was enhanced by Giuliani initially denying the charge before conceding it. Asked by Chris Cuomo, “Did you ask the Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden?” Giuliani replied, “No, actually, I didn’t,” before going on to explain how he did exactly that, prompting this exchange:

Cuomo: “So you did ask Ukraine to look into Joe Biden?”

Giuliani: “Of course I did.”

But Rudy, in fact, confessed this months ago. Indeed, the whole plot has been sitting in plain sight, a gigantic scandal that has confounded the media and the opposition in part through its very nakedness.

In recent days, a seemingly new scandal materialized: reports of an intelligence whistle-blower encountering disturbing conduct by President Trump, and having his complaint quashed in apparent violation of the law. The complaint turns out to be related to the Ukraine scandal, which has been sitting in plain sight. The Wall Street Journal reports that, in a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump repeatedly pressured his counterpart to work with Giuliani on an investigation of Biden. We are learning more details of a story whose broader contours have been clear more months.

We have known since last spring that Trump, working through Giuliani, is pressuring Ukraine to supply dirt on Joe Biden. The alleged misconduct by Biden concerns his work as vice-president under the Obama administration. The allegation is that Biden supposedly tried to sack a Ukrainian prosecutor who was propbing his son’s business in the country. The allegation against Biden is totally baseless. In fact, as Bloomberg News discovered, the prosecution was finished before Biden took a stance, the prosecutor was widely considered corrupt, his sacking was consistent with the administration’s pro-democracy agenda, and the Obama administration supported the investigation into Hunter Biden anyway.

Meanwhile, conservatives have quickly begun repeating Trump’s message on the matter. First, he insists the whistle-blower is “highly partisan.” He does not explain how he learned the identity of this alleged partisan, nor why his complaint was judged to be a “serious or flagrant problem, abuse or violation of the law” by the inspector general that Trump himself appointed. The logic of Trumpland holds that Trump is the party. Ergo, anybody who criticized Trump, however sterling their Republican credentials, is by definition partisan.

As if to test the devotion of his followers, Trump has proceeded to insist on both the innocuousness of his conversation and the need for its secrecy.

His devotees are rewarding their faith. Angelo Codevilla, a senior fellow at the Claremont Institute, dutifully asserts that whatever it was Trump said was “classified information that neither the press nor the public has seen, will not see, and that concerns an activity that, in itself, is perfectly proper and indeed constitutes the president doing his job.” We don’t know what Trump said — and, Trump willing, we never shall — but we know that it was proper and good.

The extraordinary corruption of Trump’s posture toward Ukraine was already public knowledge. All that remains is to locate the bottom.

Yup, nothing to see here. Just ask Trump…

More Good News…

A long time coming for sure. The work of cannabis advocates is beginning to pay off in spades. Passage of the SAFE Banking Act likely will be the first step in a process leading to eventual removal of cannabis from the Schedule 1 Controlled Substance List.

Increased liberty is on its way nationwide! FINALLY.

Combating discomfort and pain without addictive opioids is nothing short of sensible. Something our oppressive “War on Drugs” government was intentionally using to incarcerate otherwise law aiding citizens, And for no reason other than  to serve its demented agenda to control its population. Especially minorities .

TRUTH to POWER!

“It is our hope that after the successful passage of the SAFE Banking Act in the House, we will be able to advance legislation that ends the federal criminalization of cannabis once and for all,” Justin Strekal, political director of NORML, told Marijuana Moment. “Now is our time to demonstrate that marijuana law reform is both good policy and good politics.”

“We will not stop until otherwise law-abiding Americans are no longer discriminated against or criminalized due to the past or future choice to consume cannabis,” he said.

Neal Levine, CEO of the Cannabis Trade Federation, told Marijuana Moment that the group is “delighted that the U.S. House of Representatives is on the brink of passing a landmark piece of cannabis policy legislation that modernizes our antiquated banking laws to reflect the will of the people.”

“This is welcomed and long overdue news for the over 200,000 employees that work in the industry, cannabis businesses, and for public safety in the communities in which we operate,” he said. “Once the SAFE Banking Act passes the U.S. House, we call on the U.S. Senate to move quickly to protect our businesses and our workers.”

Bolton Is Out, Another Casualty Of The Trump Wrecking Ball…

So, John Bolton is out. Not necessarily a bad thing. However, his exit is the result of Bolton taking issue with his boss. We ALL know Trump hates dissenters to his “visions”. Whatever they may be at any given Trump minute. It’s hard keeping up with Trump’s ever changing helter skelter “visions’.

In this particular straw that broke the camel’s back instance Bolton was ABSOLUTELY correct. Trump’s idiotic and disrespectful plan to meet with the terrorist Taliban at Camp David the week of September 9, 2019 should actually result in Trump himself resigning his office.

BTW, Trump claims he ousted Bolton. Bolton said he offered to resign. I know who I believe and it ain’t Trump. With a track record of lying that Trump holds believing almost anything he says would be ludicrous.

Now on to the story from POLITICO.

President Donald Trump ousted national security adviser John Bolton on Tuesday, saying he and the hawkish aide had “disagreed strongly” on many issues and suggesting that Bolton had collided with other Trump advisers, too.

The decision came after widespread reports that Bolton tried to stop Trump from inviting leaders of the Afghan Taliban to Camp David for peace talks. Trump ultimately scrapped the idea, but multiple people familiar with the issue said the news reports about Bolton’s dissent — believed to have been planted by Bolton aides — infuriated Trump.

Bolton’s ouster leaves yet another vacancy in the upper echelons of the Trump administration, where many roles are either unfilled or filled on an acting basis, including several that deal with national security issues. It also means Trump could hear fewer dissenting voices on major moves he wants to make on the national security front, such as talking to the leaders of Iran.

The president himself didn’t get too specific in his tweets announcing Bolton’s departure, though he indicated it was not a spur of the moment move.

“I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House,” Trump wrote. “I disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions, as did others in the Administration, and therefore … I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service.”

Bolton offered a conflicting account on Twitter minutes after Trump’s posts. “I offered to resign last night and President Trump said, ‘Let’s talk about it tomorrow,'” he wrote online. Bolton did not respond to a request for comment.

The news caught many in the administration off guard. Shortly before Trump’s tweets, the White House had announced that Bolton would appear at a briefing later Tuesday with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. The two Cabinet secretaries, both of whom had their own frustrations with Bolton, appeared together, and in good spirits.

“A lot of Fake News is being reported that I overruled the VP and various advisers on a potential Camp David meeting with the Taliban. This Story is False!” he wrote on Twitter, adding that the “Dishonest Media likes to create … the look of turmoil in the White House, of which there is none.”

Trump, the would be Monarch of America, finding another “fake news” moment to undermine our free and independent press. Trump has a dark agenda and America better wake up before it’s too late.
