Trump Must Go, If The Nation Is Fortunate He’ll Resign… SOON

Trump is a vulgar, reprehensible, detestable, pathetic excuse for a human being. But what is most troubling are the millions of  US citizens who either condone or tolerate tRump’s vulgarity and lies.

I am, for the first time in my life thoroughly ashamed of the President of The United States, a man who represents all Americans.  He certainly does not represent my values and principles. However, and certanly more important is that fact he sure does not represent the values  and principles of our founding fathers.

Trump is not deserving of the respect he so craves. Rather he has earned the disdain of decent folks everywhere, here and across the globe. As he seeks to destroy all that is good about America we, the true keepers of our heritage , MUST increase resistance and civil disobedience to his growing idiocy and obvious disrespect for common decency.

Following was the last straw for me…

The New York Times – President Trump assailed the television host Mika Brzezinski on Thursday in unusually personal and vulgar terms, the latest of a string of escalating attacks by the president on the national news media.

Shortly before 9 a.m., as Ms. Brzezinski’s MSNBC show “Morning Joe” was ending, Mr. Trump used Twitter to taunt Ms. Brzezinski and her co-host, Joe Scarborough, referring to them as “low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe” and saying that at one point Ms. Brzezinski was “bleeding badly from a face-lift.”

Mr. Trump has launched broadsides this week against several of the country’s major television networks and newspapers, accusing the news media of creating “fake news” and of unfairly fixating on his campaign’s links to Russian officials. At the White House, the president’s deputy press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, said on national television that Americans “deserve something better” from the country’s media.

The graphic nature of the president’s suggestion that Ms. Brzezinski had undergone plastic surgery was met with immediate criticism on social media. Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, wrote on Twitter, “Mr. President, your tweet was beneath the office and represents what is wrong with American politics, not the greatness of America.” And a spokesman for NBC News, Mark Kornblau, wrote on Twitter: “Never imagined a day when I would think to myself, ‘It is beneath my dignity to respond to the President of the United States.’ ”

We must increase the resistance.  The hideous “man” who is Trump must be defeated. He is sub-human and he IS a pox on our national identity.

New York Post Joins Forces With Trump and the Fake News Meme…

In the sixth month of Donald Trump’s presidency, we are witnessing an unprecedented meltdown of much of the media. Standards have been tossed overboard in a frenzy to bring down the president.

Trump, like all presidents, deserves coverage that is skeptical and tough, but also fair. That’s not what he’s getting.

To the above all a reasonable fair-minded person can say in response is, Ah, poor WATB. Apparently the author of this extremely biased pro Trump article is fine with his lies, half-truths, and stinky BS his  White House has shoveled on the people of this once great nation.

Trump deserves every damned bit of scrutiny he has received by the legitimate press. By the use of the term legitimate we definitely do not include Breitbart, INFOWARS,  World Net Daily, Newsmax, or FOX News and Sean Hannity. There are many others but you get the idea.

Donald J. Trump has made it a hallmark of his presidency to scream FAKE  NEWS every time the legitimate news media calls him out on his many misstatement or outright lies. In so doing, and with the support of his adoring albeit ill-informed fans, he is regularly calling the legitimate news media credibility into question. A calculated strategy to delegitimize the very institution that is so critical to democracy.

Thomas Jefferson on the press…

The people are the only censors of their governors: and even their errors will tend to keep these to the true principles of their institution. To punish these errors too severely would be to suppress the only safeguard of the public liberty. The way to prevent these irregular interpositions of the people is to give them full information of their affairs thro’ the channel of the public papers, & to contrive that those papers should penetrate the whole mass of the people. The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter. But I should mean that every man should receive those papers & be capable of reading them.

We leave it to you all to decide what Thomas Jefferson’s opinion of the BLOTUS might be were he here today.

Hannity To Exit Fox “News”…

According to THE DAILY BEAST Sean Hannity’s 20 year stint with Fox News will be ending shortly. Apparently with the resignation of Shine, the rising influence of the Murdock sons, and the demise of the “good ole boys” network things may be changing. Perhaps Fox will move towards the center, truth, actual journalism, and reason. If so America benefits. Not holding our breath, but, we can hope can’t we?

Sean Hannity is looking to leave Fox News, according to sources, following the resignation of Fox News co-president Bill Shine officially on Monday.

Shine was Hannity’s long-time ally whom he personally recommended the network hire two decades ago to produce Hannity & Colmes. In recent days, Hannity warned it would be the “total end” of Fox News should Shine leave, and he rallied conservative activists to back him up.

Initially, insiders said, Hannity’s army of lawyers had hoped to discuss with Fox ways of protecting his 8-year-old primetime show, amid fears that Lachlan and James Murdoch—fresh off the ousting of Bill O’Reilly—were looking to push the network away from hard-right politics.

However, with Shine’s departure on Monday, one source told The Daily Beast, there’s no reason for Hannity to stay.

“The network now belongs to the Murdoch sons,” another Fox insider said after learning that Shine was gone.

One insider speculates that the negotiations could end this week and Hannity might be out by Friday. Another said his final show could even be tonight or Tuesday evening, given Shine’s Monday resignation.

Fox News, however, said in a statement speaking on behalf of Hannity and the network: “This is completely untrue.”

Shine, long considered Roger Ailes’ right-hand man, was named in multiple lawsuits against Fox as having been an enabler of both Ailes’ and O’Reilly’s alleged serial sexual-harassing. In one particular case, ex-host Andrea Tantaros alleged that Shine actively coordinated a campaign to retaliate against her for her accusations against the now-deposed Fox News creator. And according to New York magazine’s Gabriel Sherman, who first reported Shine’s resignation, female Fox News staffers considered circulating a petition calling for his firing.
